I tend to make a boot USB drive out of the Windows package, so this is what I will be describing here. If you have previously updated the BIOS while having Computrace already set to "Permanently Disabled", there is a chance you might already have the P-version installed (see the note somewhere below this). Installing the P-version requires having Computrace set to "Permanently Disabled".Īfter installing the P-version you will not be able to return to the W-version unless perhaps you have previously made a back-up of the BIOS chip.ĭue to the last two points, the process of installing the P-version is irreversible.
